Roy 'Chubby' Brown
Roy 'Chubby' Brown is a comic genius and one of the funniest comedians in the world.

In November 1973, when Max Boyce recorded his first comedy album, 'Live at Treorchy', at the 150 seat Treorchy Rugby Club in South Wales, no one would have believed that 30 years later he would be performing in the other South Wales, New South Wales, Australia at the famous Sydney Opera House in front of 2500 people and a T.V. audience of millions.
In the years between are sell-out tours around the world, Silver and Gold discs representing 2 million albums sold, best selling books, videos, dozens of television shows, Max Boyce specials on 'This Is Your Life', 'Parkinson', films and just for good measure a meeting with the Her Majesty the Queen to receive his MBE.
Ben Proos
Ben Proos, aged 16 is one of the most professional young magicians around. The Lancashire teenager has just been crowned ‘Young Magician of the Year’
On July 31st 2011 Ben was given the title at the 50th Anniversary of the event, which is open to young magicians from all over the country. Ben beat hundreds of hopefuls to become ‘The Young Magician of the Year’ which is held every two years at the prestigious Magic Circle in London.
Ben was taught magic by Brian Lead, a member of Blackburn’s Modern Mystic League and an English teacher at Ben’s school where he also runs a magic club.
Black Dyke Brass Band
The Black Dyke Brass Band is the most recorded band in the world with over 300 recordings and growing every year. It is also the most successful contesting band in the world having won the European Championships eleven times, the British Open no fewer than 29 times and the National Championships of Great Britain 22 times. Black Dyke was also the first band to achieve the ‘Grand Slam’ in 1985 by winning the Yorkshire regional, European, British Open and National Championship contests, along with being voted BBC’s Best Band of the Year. The band has also released a single on The Beatles' Apple Records label, which was an instrumental composed by Lennon and McCartney called ‘Thingumybob’, as well as an instrumental version of ‘Yellow Submarine’. Grimethorpe Colliery Band
The Grimethorpe Colliery Band is probably the world's most famous colliery band with an international reputation for excellence on both the the concert and contest stage. It was formed in 1917, as a leisure activity for the workers at the colliery, by members of the disbanded Cudworth Colliery Band.
Since then it has featured in film, TV and radio and the band is justifiably proud of its history and achievements. The band also starred in and provided the soundtrack for the 1996 British hit film ‘Brassed Off’ which also featured Pete Postlethwaite, Tara Fitzgerald and Ewan McGregor.
Harry Goodwin
Born in Manchester in the 1920's, Harry Goodwin started his working life in his father's bookmaking business. Having served in the armed forces during World War 2, Harry's passion for photography took over his life. In 1964 when the BBC started to film 'Top Of The Pops' from it's Manchester studio on Dickenson Road, Didsbury, Harry was the photographer. He continued until 1973 and photographed some of the most famous and successful stars in the music industry: The Beatles , John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr And George Harrison, The Bee Gees, Cher, Jimmy Hendrix, David Bowie, Freddie and the Dreamers, Lulu, Shirley Bassey, Ken Dodd, The Hollies, T-Rex, The Rolling Stones, The Dave Clark Five, The Searchers, Dusty Springfield, Sandie Shaw, Freddie Mercury, Tom Jones, Michael Jackson and many more. Harry’s photographs have recently been exhibited in galleries in Blackpool, Preston, Manchester, Stockport, Lancaster and in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. A permanent exhibition of his work is also displayed at the John Lennon Airport, Liverpool. |

Stephen Bayliss
Stephen’s exciting career started around 1989 with two friends writing original, critically acclaimed soul songs. His band was called ‘Watch This Space’ and if you did, you certainly weren’t disappointed.
Stephen was hand picked to be a part of Sir Cliff Richard’s ‘Access all Areas’ tour, this gave him invaluable performance experience in front of massive audiences, after that tour, he joined up with three accomplished musicians to form the band ‘Hothead’. Hothead had a diverse range of influences and directions, sewn together by Stephen’s smooth soulful voice. All this experience forged him into a complete artist in every aspect and Stephen continued to grow and became one of the UK’s most successful performers, selling out every concert he plays.
